Sorry, man. I couldn't find any rhythm in it at all. It just all sounded cluttered and offbeat, with no structure at all either. Sound design was meh. Also, where was all of the percussion? To be 100% honest, this was bad. Sorry to leave such a harsh review, maybe you'll learn and get better.

HD901 responds:

Thank you. I'm new, my music is not that great yet, but I'm working to get better. I really appreciate these reviews because they tell me what I can do better. I'll take your advice.

Kool remix, but you should (this applies to your other works) learn mixing and mastering, at least learn how to mix. Some sounds sounded a little off-balance, but other than that it was good.

fonkat responds:

Yeah, Ik that i must learn more, actually I'm doing this songs and covers with my own knowledge. I'm not in a academy or something like that... anyway thx for the support! :D
PD: Man... sorry, i'm answering this 7 months later xD

Was this by ear? If so, amazing. If not, still amazing. I will warn against doing covers, as I believe NG has rules about this kind of stuff. Can't wait for more original content!

Btw, what DAW do you use?

fonkat responds:

What's DAW?

You're really back!!!

dj-Nate responds:

Hell yeah baby!

Okay, I see that you did give credit to the original works, but to say it's not copied would be a lie. You just outright copied parts from songs and still refusing to admit you sampled/stole??? Inspiration does not mean that you took parts from it. You see, various artists and games (GD being one) INSPIRED me to make music. But I don't steal from them. Inspiration means "the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative" (Google). To me, it didn't sound like you were inspired, but rather lazy. I truly hope you can break away from this habit and be more original.

AlphaStormMusic responds:

Keep in mind I said: not COMPLETELY copied. I did copy some melodies in the song. but not all of them. When I was making this one, I was struggling to be completely creative, which is why I changed up a lot of the riffs instead of copying them. That's me basically calling this a remix. A remix generally means a different version of the original. Basically it's that. Just done poorly. If I had blatantly copied the song it would be the exact same song with the key changed, which would also be considered a remix, but not to the extent other people go to. I see your concern, but if you'd read the description properly, you would see what I'd actually said. I will admit I was quite lazy. With my nowadays songs, I do say that I did use some of the melodies from songs. I also admit that I wasn't fully inspired. Although, if you're taking inspiration from something, it's hard not to think of original melodies when you're going through the song you're inspired by for reference. I see your concern, and thanks for opening my eyes. (Took me a while to respond because was thinking of how I want to respond)

Is this Deadlocked (F-777)? I can tell this is based off of it. Be careful, you may get a copyright strike if you're not careful.

DJ-DG responds:

I can tell too... unfortunately I was rather obsessed with that song at the time, so I guess it worked its way into the song... anything that I can do to avoid any copyright issues (like mention the original song or something)?

This is that waterflame song, isn't it? The one he did in a 3 part series about music making process. I have good enough ears to hear that.

AlphaStormMusic responds:

He didn't exactly upload the song onto newgrounds. I know that some used the tutorial series, to make a "first" song.

This almost sounds like something waterflame would make. Great job!

AlphaStormMusic responds:

Thanks. Actually I got inspiration from Deadlocked by F-777 for this.

What program do you use? I thought i saw you say Caustic 3. Anyways, I don't think that it is the best program for dubstep. That being said, I could still hear dubstep and thought is was pretty good for your age. Needs more bass tho. Anywho, is it okay if I remix it?

octaplex responds:

no pls

Not bad! However, I do not consider this to be trance, not at least from what trance I've heard. Keep up the good work!

Nue22 responds:

Thx
